Manchester City were today drawn to face Real Madrid in the semis of the Champions League. Atletico Madrid will square off against Guardiola’s Bayern Munich. It is the first time the Citizens will play at this stage of the Champions League.
City’s sporting director Txiki Begiristain said: “It’s a great tie against the team that has won the competition the most times. “But we have got this far and we want to keep dreaming.”
The first leg of the semi-finals will be played on April 26-27. The second leg is scheduled for May 3-4. The final is billed for the San Siro, Milan on May 28.
