For the ugly roles they played in the Governorship Elections in Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Delta States nemesis may have caught up with three INEC commissioners.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has seen over N675.1m in their bank accounts. The money was received as bribe and shared by the officials during the last governorship elections, official of the EFCC said.

An insider says that the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the 2015 election in Rivers State, Mrs. Gesila Khan, and other officials of INEC are already in EFCC net.

Khan, who is now the REC in Cross River State, allegedly received N185.8m ahead of the March 28 and April 11, 2015 election. There are indications that she has confessed and now cooperating with investigators.

Editor’s Note: The givers of the bribe must not be spared. They must also be brought to justice
