Just three weeks after the Police Service Commission gave the greenlight for applications for 10,000 vacancies approved by the Buhari Government, 705,352 unemployed Nigerians have applied to join the force.
The commission’s spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani, said in a statement made available to the Press that 202,427 have applied for the position of Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, 169,446 for Cadet Inspector and 333,479 as Constables.
Chairman of the Commission, Sir Mike Okiro is excited with the huge interest shown by Nigerians in entering the Police Force. He promised a smooth and transparent process.
