The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) yesterday reported the diversion and non disbursement of about N57, 663, 185, 735 by Imo and other states. This is part of the bailout funds approved for them by President Muhammadu Buhari for the payement of salary arrears.
The ICPC disclosed this in a statement yesterday in Abuja by its spokesperson, Edet Ufot
The agency indicted Imo, Zamfara and Enugu for diverting the bailout funds for other purposes.
Some states were yet to either collect or put to use the bailout funds. These include Sokoto, Kogi and Bayelsa states. The ICPC had investigated the use of bailout funds by 23 states.
