Former Gov Sule Lamido of Jigawa declared on Monday that he will run for the presidency in 2019 on platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He said that was his ambition was on the condition that his party finds him worthy of the party’s presidential ticket.
“As I’m talking to you now, we are working silently to resolve our differences and bring back to our fold those that left the party for APC”, he said.
He blamed the internal crisis in PDP as the reason for the battering it got in 2015 general elections.
Lamido also denied any problem between him and his successor, Gov. Muhammad Badaru of the APC.
