Two Men Steal $14million From Church

Two men, Akapo Paul,73, and Johnson Shorinnolu,63, have been arraigned before an Ota Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing 14 million dollars from a church, known as West African Christian Mission.
The two were slammed with two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy.

The Prosecutor, Abdulkareem Mustapha, told the court that the accused committed the crime in 2015 at about at the premises of West African Christian Mission at No.49 Tarmac Road, Ota.
He said that the accused persons, as signatories to the bank account of the church, conspired and stole $14million. The Offences are punishable under Sections 390 (8) (b) and 516 of the Criminal Code Vol.1, Laws of Ogun, 2006.

The two men pleaded not guilty. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.I. Adelaja, granted them to bail in the sum of N2 million each, with two sureties in the same sum and adjourned the case till May 20 for hearing.
