While Leicester City wallow in the rhapsody of a historic Premier League triumph, can Man City tonight stomp enough steel at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu to also make history by qualifying for its first champions’ league final?

After a goalless first leg, City are hoping they could upset Madrid, boosted by a Christian Ronaldo return. The record goal scorer in the Champions League (93) left a good impression in training as he did what he knows best – banging in goals.

A goal by City will certainly nerve Real and unsettle them. And therein lies any chance, if any, that Man City have in progressing to the final.

In any case, Checkpointcharley does not see this City side as having enough depth to cause an upset tonight. However, good luck to them, as they chase history.

Man City is star-studded, but they lack team spirit and character.

Though, Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho  keeps impressing with goals, it is still not certain if he starts.
