Udenwa
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) last night shoved into custody former Imo State governor, Achike Udenwa, Saharareporters reported. He is accused of receiving N350 million, which is said to be diverted from the 2015 presidential campaign of Goodluck Jonathan.
Udenwa spent several hours last night with EFCC investigators answering crucial questions at their headquarters. He was subsequently released, but not without signing a bond to repay the funds to the Federal Government within two weeks.
A source said that he admitted recieving the money from former finance minister, Esther Nenadi. She was also arrested last week and has reportedly paid back substantial part of the money.
Udenwa is part of a generation of Nigerian elite who sat on the destiny of the younger generation. He was Imo State governor from 1999-2007 with no remarkable achievement to show for it.
