
The Nation has reported the arrest yesterday of the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State, Mr. Ntufam John Okon by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was picked up in connection with the alleged N23.29b election bribery scandal.
Also the anti-grant agency has interrogated Senator Chris Anyanwu and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mike Ahamba, about the case.
The three were allegedly paid N1.2billion. Ahamba and Anyanwu allegedly got N700m. While Okon, who is in EFCC’s custody, was paid N500million.
Okon, was detained yesterday and will be charged to court soon.
