
Bakassi Boys, the defunct maverick security group in the South-East, is regrouping to help stop killer Fulani herdsmen. This is in response to the Nimbo, Enugu State killings by suspected Fulani herdsmen. More than 48 people were butchered, including women and children.
Also the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has reached out to other groups in the five South East states to form a united front against the Fulani herdsmen threat,The Nation reports.
The leaders of the Bakassi Boys, according to the report, have been meeting in Abia, Imo, Anambra and Ebonyi on how to shield the states from further attacks by herdsmen.
A top member, who does not want his name mentioned, said never again “would anyone or group be allowed to terrorize the zone for no just cause”.
