Governorship aspirant of All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State, Godwin Obaseki appears unfazed by the attempt on his life by armed thugs, who opened fire on him and his capmpaign group at Sobe, Owan West Local Government Area of Edo state as he was about to address party delegates.

Obaseki had to cancel the event and was whisked away to safety by his security team. But speaking later to The Vanguard, he said that he will never be intimidated and will carry on with his governorship campaign.

“I called off the meeting with the delegates because I had to be whisked off by my security men. No one was hurt though. I cannot be intimidated. Whoever did this has failed because we will continue with our campaign.”

According to the Vanguard, brave youths in the area chased the suspected thugs and apprehended them with their guns. They were later handed over to the Police.
