Controversial President of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki returned to the dock today at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT headquarters in Abuja as his trial for fasle assets declaration.
Saraki arrived at 10:00 a.m. with his aides and scanty supporters, which includes his colleagues from the National Assembly. The courtroom itself is packed with lawyers for prosecution and defence teams, as well as pressmen.
The Senate President has done everything legally possible to stop this trial, including approaching the Supreme Court, but failed.
Normally, he should have resigned but in a country where men of honour are very few, he prefers to degrade the office of The Senate President.
