After three years in charge, Everton has sacked manger Roberto Martinez.
Everton, 12th in the Premier League, were roundly beaten 1-3 by Leicester on Saturday and again 0-3 by Sunderland last night. The Toffees also lost in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
It has been a disastrous year as they have won only five league games at home all season with a guarantee to finish with their lowest points tally at Goodison Park since the introduction of three points for a win in 1981.
The club will soon make an announcement to confirm the decision.
