The New York Times yesterday reported that United States President, Barack Obama is considering a state visit to Nigeria sometime in July. It would likely be his final trip to Africa as president.
President Obama has made a number of visits to African countries, but had avoided Nigeria like leprosy because he had felt that former president Goodluck Jonathan was not doing enough to tackle corruption.
Presently the relation between US and Nigeria has improved under the presidency of Muhammadu Buhari.
