
In spite of the change promised by the APC government under President Muhammadu Buhari, it still remains business as usual in terms of waste of public fund.
The Federal Government of Nigeria, today, approved six Air Carriers to airlift Nigerian pilgrims for this year’s Hajj.
Spokesperson of the National Hajj Commission, NAHCON, Uba Mana said in a statement released that the approved carriers, which include a Saudi-designated airline, will airlift pilgrims from the country’s 36 states to the Saudi Arabia.
According to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Nigeria is a secular state. In ordinary parlance, it simply means that the Nigerian State should have no business with any religion, talk less of bankrolling religious beliefs.
Despite the clear provisions of the law, the country squanders, illegally, billions of Naira, which could be put to good use, in taking Muslims and Christians to where they deemed to be holy lands.
And what about believers in African religion?
