Six of the 219 Chibok girls abducted in 2014 by Boko Haram have died, one of the Chibok girls rescued Tuesday, has told local officials.

Amina Nkek, 19 was rescued in Kulakaisa village near of Sambisa forest, by a Chibok vigilante group, according to activists and local officials.

It was also confirmed that Nkek was breastfeeding a 4 month old child. She revealed that the remaining girls were “well secured and protected”.

This now confirms what has been widely feared, with Nkek forced to become a mother, that the lives of those girls would never be the same again even if they are eventually rescued alive.
