Ekiti State Govenor, Ayo Fayose spitted fire, in a video obtained by the Vangaurd, as he commissioned hunters to wage war on the so called Fulani herdsmen. He said that it is better he resigned as governor than fail to protect the people he was voted to protect.
He said that the invasion of Fulani herdsmen is a calculated attempt at ethnic cleansing. The governor begged his Ekiti people not to run away but to stand and fight.
Fayose charged the hunters to kill any cow seen grazing in unauthorized manner. He also vowed to criminalize unauthorized cow grazing.
He wondered how cattle rearers could be carrying AK47. But concluded that these are sponsored elements and he promised defeat for them and their sponsors.
