Father of three flees after impregnating 12yr old maid, wife, nurse arrested while aborting the pregnancy

The Lagos Police is tracking a father of three who is on the run after impregnating his 12 year old housemaid and tried to abort it with the help of his wife at a road side quack nurse.

The 12-year-old girl, identified simply as Favour, was rescued by the police in the Mafoluku, Oshodi area of Lagos State, where her aunt and the husband allegedly took her to abort the pregnancy, PUNCH reports.

According to the story, Favour was allegedly raped several times in January by her aunt’s husband, known as Johnbull Dike. Ultimately she got pregnant.
Favour is now in police’s care at the state command headquarters in Ikeja as a manhunt for her violator, a tricycle rider, is launched.

In the meantime, Dike’s wife and the nurse, caught administering an illegal abortion on the girl, were arrested by the Akinpelu Police Division. The girl was allegedly taken to the nurse on Sunmola Street, Mafoluku, on May 4.

It was found that she was four months pregnant. And when Dike discovered that she was pregnant in February, he took the girl to a family friend in Mafoluku in his bid to bury his evil deed. But the woman returned her to the Dikes in April, complaining of high costs in talking care of her.
So Dike and his wife Happiness then decided to take Favour to the nurse to get rid of the pregnancy.

It was gathered that some residents of the area tipped off a child rights’ group, Child Protection Network, which called the police.

A staff of Child Protection Network, Ebenezer Omejalile told PUNCH that Favour did not inform her aunt about the rape because the suspect had threatened to kill her if she did.
“I went to see the girl at the place where the aunt had taken her with the connivance of a nurse to abort the pregnancy. The girl underwent a scan before the abortion. It was a failed process because she began to bleed at the nurse’s place. The police were informed on that Wednesday and the two women were arrested, while Dike fled.

“The policemen took Favour to a proper hospital to get rid of the remaining foetus. As it is, the suspect is on the run because he knew that the girl is with the police.”
