President Muhammadu Buhari will after all, like the case of Lagos, not go to Rivers State to launch the cleanup of Ogoni land.Sources at the presidential villa say the president has not left the State House for Port Harcourt.
Unconfirmed reports say the president is staying away due to assassination threats. It therefore means, as president, Buhari has only visited his home state, Katsina.
“Femi Adesina will release a statement shortly,” a source said. Adesina is the president’s Senior Media adviser.
Again, it seems Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will represent Buhari at the event. This is yet to be confirmed.
