On The Beheading of Igbo Woman Trader in Kano

For the avoidance of doubt, the beheading of the Igbo woman trader, Bridget Agbahime in Kano had nothing to do with religion. It was simply an act of primitive barbarism, fuelled by HATE.

Talking about religion anyway, it is only FOOLS, who fight for God or gods. Any God or god that cannot fight its own battle, is not worth worshipping.

If those who beheaded that poor woman, were not driven by hate, they would have allowed ALLAH (God) to punish her for her so-called “Blasphemy”.

The gruesome killing should be expunged from religion. Fact is: Only humans practice religion. And to ascribe human status to the beasts that committed such an atrocity is simply to demean the human race.

Therefore, there was nothing religious about the killing of a woman, who left her children at home in search of what they will eat. The children, will now wait in vain for the return of their mother. But her animal killers will go home to their children, on the pretence that they are human beings, endowed with the ability to love and care. Only animals love their own and see others only as prey.

Humans are endowed with the sense of pity. The animals, who killed this woman, had none for her or her husband, who was present and watched how his beloved wife was decapitated. Yes, the police saved him from the animal mob, but what life is he expected to live again. Surely, the trauma will follow him until his dying day.

Imagine the man getting home? What would he tell the children who would ask why he came back alone? What would he tell them happened to their mother?

President Muhammadu Buhari acted presidential when he issued a statement condemning the bestiality and ordering law enforcers to apprehend the animal culprits.

Beasts have no business mingling with humans. I learned that some of them have been extracted from circulating as humans. Checkpointcharley calls on the police to ensure that no one (animal), who was involved is allowed to continue living as human.

One of the troubles we have is our wrong use of words and the coining of terminologies to make it convenient to present the abominable as normal, or to help us shy away from hard truth. Those who killed the woman were not “angry Muslim Youths”. Neither were they Islamic extremists. Islam is a peaceful religion that encourages peace and forgiveness.

The woman was killed by animals in human skin, who love only their own and hate whatever or whoever does not look like them
