PSG Set To Eject Laurent Blanc

Laurent Blanc's three-year spell with PSG may be about to come to an end

French champions, Paris Saint-Germain, unsatisfied with the club’s champions league exploits, are set to eject Laurent Blanc this week and replace him with Sevilla’s coach Unai Emery, checkpointcharley gathers.

Emery guided Sevilla to a historic Europa League treble, but finished 7th in La Liga.
PSG coach, Laurent Blanc has, through his agent, Jean-Pierre Bernes confirmed that he will part ways with the club before the week runs out. Speaking to French radio station Europe 1, the agent was asked if Blanc would leave by the end of the week, to which he replied: “I think so.

“We’re in discussions with PSG directors and it’s being done in an excellent atmosphere from both sides. Simply put, there are rules that need to be respected to end a contract and PSG are respecting those.”

Blanc had extended his PSG contract in February for another two years but PSG-Boss Nasser Ghanim Al-Khelaïfi had always insisted there is no job guarantee.

He seems not to be impressed by PSG’s showings in the champions league. Those close to him say that he is not splashing out big money to be given a French league title. He wants the real thing, they say, which is the champions league.
