Justice Yusuf Halilu of the Abuja High Court on Tuesday shifted the arraignment of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu on a two-count charge of conspiracy and forgery, to June 27.
The court also ordered substituted service of the charge against the defendants by pasting the charge sheet on the notice board of the National Assembly since it is alleged by the prosecution that the accused persons are making personal service difficult.
The order followed an oral application by the prosecuting counsel, Mr. David Kaswe. He told the court that effecting personal service of the charge against the defendants proved “very difficult”.
