
Croatia posted a dramatic 2-1 win over Spain to qualify from Group D on Tuesday as group winners. Alvaro Morata had put Spain up in an early lead with his third goal of the tournament. But Croatia fired back through Nikola Kalinicjust before the break.
In the second half, Sergio Ramos penalty was saved before Ivan Perisic scored three minutes from time to secure a famous victory for his country.
The result left Spain finishing second. They will now face Italy in the Round of 16 on Monday at the Stade de France.
