Poland became the first team to qualify for the quarterfinal at the Euro 22016 when the beat the Swiss national team at Stade Geoffroy Guichard 5-4 on penalties.
Poland had led 1-0 at half time, with Jakub Blaszczykowski. But when Poland thought the matter was settled, Xherdan Shaqiri scored a wonder goal with an over head kick in the 82nd minute to tell them it was not over.
Swiss could have in fact put it beyond Poland in extra-time, but poor finishing was their greatest undoing.
