World champions, Germany just crushed Slovakia 3-0 to book a quarter-final place at the EURO 2016 in France. Defence Chief, Jerome Boateng, who was doubtful to start due to injury, lifted the enormous weight on his country, when he superbly volleyed Germany into a 1-0 lead just eight minutes into the game.

Mario Gomez made it 2-0 worse for the Slovaks two minutes before the break. While Julian Draxler put the game beyond the opponents with a close range over head volley that landed at the roof of the net. Germany now faces either Italy or Spain in Bordeaux on Saturday.
