
Chelsea have completed the grabbing of Belgium~s super joker, Michy Batshuayi from Marseille on a five-year contract for a fee of £33m. Batshuayi, who impressed at Euro 2016 with Belgium, had been linked with a host of clubs after scoring 17 goals in the French Ligue 1 last season.
The 22-year-old, whose parents are from D R Congo,was given permission to leave the Belgium camp by head coach Marc Wilmots last week and was met by Chelsea’s team doctor for a medical in Bordeaux ahead of his moving over to Stamford Bridge.
He therefore becomes new manager Antonio Conte’s first signing for the Blues.
He said: “I am delighted to sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe and embark on the next chapter in my career. I hope I can help Chelsea win many trophies during my time at Stamford Bridge.
“Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois have told me many good things about the club, and with Antonio Conte coming in it’s an exciting time to become a Chelsea player.
