Manchester United have gone a step ahead of pacesetters, Real Madrid and are now close by whiskers in making Paul Pogba the first player to cost £100m. The Mail reports that the Red Devils have told his club Juventus that they will pay a world-record transfer fee to sign him.
It is however, open secret that Pogba prefers to play for Real Madrid, where his greatest admirer, Zinedine Zidane is in charge. It is now left to be seen if Real will now outbid Man United in the chase for the best midfielder in the world at the moment.
Zidane has already tipped him to win soon the World Player of the Year award. Currently, Pogba is busy with the French national team as they aim to emulate Zidane & Co in 1998 by winning the European Championship on home soil.
