World Number One, Serena Williams of the United States won again the second set 6-0 as she thrashed Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova 7-5, 6-0 humourless to qualify for the quarterfinal of the 2016 Wimbledon.
The six-time Wimbledon champion faces another Russian, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the last eight on Tuesday.
It is the second day in a row that Williams, in chase of her 22 Grand Slam title, will resolutely win the second set to love. Yesterday, she also dismissed Germany’s Annika Beck, 6-3, 6-0.
