Le Guen Gets Super Eagles Job

The Technical and Development Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation today named former Paris Saint Germain manager, Paul Le Guen as the new Super Eagles head coach. Though, it is understood that he still needs to agree to personal terms.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, a member of the technical committee, Paul Bassey said Le Guen is to be assisted by Salisu Yusuf and Imama Amapakabo. Alloy Agu will be the goalkeeper’s trainer.

The former, Paris Saint Germain and France defender won three successive league titles with Olympic Lyon. He also managed Paris Saint Germain, Stade Rennais, Glasgow Rangers and the Cameroon national team. He last station was Oman, where he was national coach from 2011-2015.

Le Guen was part of the team which lost out on a trip to the World Cup in 1994, along with Eric Cantona and David Ginola.
