Borussia Dortmund’s Lost Son Mario Götze Returns

Mario Götze wird sich beim FC Bayern wohl verabschieden.

Borussia Dortmund’s lost son, Mario Götze has found his way back home after a three year wandering in Bayern wilderness. The 24 year-old offensive player, who scored Germany’s winning goal at the 2014 world cup left Dortmund when the Westphalia club needed him most.

It will now be interesting to see how the fans would receive a player, who was once their favourite, but then broke their hearts by joining their arch rivals, Bayern Munich.

At Munich, Pep Guardiola denied Götze a regular shirt and new coach Carlo Ancelotti is to guaranteeing him a place in the start eleven either, which informs his decision to return back to his future.

A source close to Götze tells Checkpointcharley that Liverpool’s manager Jürgen Klopp had tried all he could to lure his favourite student to Anfield for a reunion. In fact, it is gathered that he could Götze on a daily basis but has lost out as Götze decided to return back to where he left as a hero.

Both Dortmund and Bayern are silent on the transfer fee, but sources say that it is in the neigbourhood of 22 million Euros.
