Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan today dodged questions about President Muhammadu Buhari’s ongoing anti-corruption war, which has seen some of his former aides probed and prosecuted.
Talking with State House correspondents after he met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Jonathan diplomatically said it would be inappropriate for him to speak on the matter because many of the cases were pending in court.
He however said the meeting which lasted less than 20 minutes afforded him the opportunity of briefing Buhari of his recent international engagements and future ones.
On the renewed violence in the Niger Delta, he said it was appropriate for him and traditional rulers in the area to mediate in the matter.
