President Muhammadu Buhari, who has not shown any eagerness in visiting other states of the federation (apart from his home state Katsina), will, as typical of him, fly overseas for the inauguration of President Idriss Deby of Chad in N’Djamena. Deby won the Chad’s presidential elections in April.

Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina said in a statement on Sunday that the President will be accompanied on the one-day trip by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State.

According to the statement, others in the president’s delegation are Senato Baba Kaka Garba; Hon. Mohammed Tahir Monguno; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; and the National Security Adviser, Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno (retd).

Buhari is expected back in Abuja after the inauguration.
