Power-drunk EFCC Chairman Ibrahim Magu got sobered by public outcry and pressure from above over his illegal arrest and detention of blogger Abubakar Sidiq Usman as Checkpointcharley gathers that the blogger has just been released after spending a night in Emperor Magu’s cell.
Usman was arrested yesterday at his Kubwa home in Abuja after his blog, Abusidiqu.com had published a report on August 2, 2016 titled, ‘EFCC boss, Magu, commences total war with core EFCC staff’.
It reported that EFCC staff were complaining they were being bullied by Magu.
The report accused the EFCC chairman of corruption, and of being jittery about the delay in the confirmation of his appointment by the Senate.
