Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) have denied report that they have agreed peace talks with the Federal Government.
NDA Spokesman, Mudoch Agbinibo, while responding to an enquiry by Punch over a report by Dialogue Group spokesman, Ballantyne Agiri that the Avengers have agreed to dialogue, dismissed the claims. Agbinibo said there was no iota of truth in Agiri’s statement.
He emphasized that “we are not going into any peace or dialogue talk.”
“That report is not from us. We are not in any form of dialogue agreement with anybody. It’s like the Government wants to dialogue with themselves.”
NDA also later went on deny the purported talks on their twitter handle.
They also denied knowing Agiri, saying “Who is Mr. Ballantyne Agiri the claimed dialogue group spokesman? We don’t know you and please stop fooling the general public.
“We are not ready for any negotiation or dialogue with the federal government.”
