
Japanese surgeon, Katsuya Takasu has redeemed his pledge of cash reward to the Nigeria Olympic football team, Dream Team VI after they won bronze medal by defeating Honduras 3-2.
Takasu handed team coach, Samson Siasia, and Mikel Obi captain a cheque of $200,000 and $190,000, respectively. The plastic surgeon had promised each player of the Nigerian U-23 team $30, 000 if they won the gold in the men’s soccer event, $20, 000 dollars for silver and $12,000 for bronze.
