Arsenal played a flawless first half, with goals from Santi Cazorla, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to give the Gunners a 3-1 win at Watford for their much needed first Premier League victory of the season. It also provided manager Arsene Wenger a huge relief.
Cazorla drilled in a ninth-minute penalty to put Arsenal 1-0 up. Sanchez made it 2-0 in the 39th with a scrambled finish. And superb playmaker Ozil headed home the third on the stroke of halftime after a pin-pointcross from Sanchez.
Halftime substitute Roberto Pereyra pulled one back for the home side on his Premier League debut when he fired in a thunderous shot from 15 yards in the 57th minute.
