Ahmed Salkida
The Nigerian journalist, Ahmed Salkida, who was declared wanted along with two others-Ahmed Bolori and Aisha Wakil-by the Nigerian Army over links to Boko Haram, was today arrested on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport aboard Emirates flight EK 785.
He was picked up right at the door of the aircraft by security agents.
A passenger who had engaged he journalist in conversation through-out the seven hours flight, later said salkida expressed fears that he would not be given a fair trial as the government had already pronounced him guilty without trial.
He also said he didn’t know the whereabouts of the missing Chibok girls as claimed by the Nigerian army but admitted receiving two video clips from Boko Haram before they were released to the public.
