Japan’s Kei Nishikori has stunned number two seed Andy Murray of Britain1-6 6-4 4-6 6-1 7-5 in the quarter-finals of the US Open.
The sixth-seeded former finalist Nishikori will now face either unseeded former champion Juan Martin del Potro or third-seeded Swiss Stan Wawrinka for a place in Sunday’s final.
