The Nigerian Railways Corporation (NRC) has scandalously suspended its passenger train service from Abuja to Kaduna during the Eid el-Kabir public holidays on Monday and Tuesday when people would need the service most.
The Deputy Director, Public Relations of the NRC,Yakub Mahmood made this known in Lagos on Saturday, NAN reports.
He said the period would also be used to carry out comprehensive maintenance of the train. So does it mean NRC has only one train for that route?
In any case, Mahmood assured passengers that the Abuja-Kaduna train service would restored on Wednesday.
“The corporation highly regrets any inconvenience this may cause our esteemed passengers,” he said.
