Mario Balotelli has continued to make those who planned to kill his career on flimsy excuses to bend their heads in shame as he rides higher on an impressive restart of his career at French club Nice by scoring twice against Monaco to help his new club go top of Ligue 1.
The 26-year-old Italian striker, who managed only two league goals in the last two seasons at Liverpool for reasons everybody knows, took his tally to four goals for Nice in only his second appearance for the club on Wednesday night.
Balotelli delighted spectators at the Allianz Riviera when he scored in the 30th and 69th minutes as his team routed in-form Monaco on home turf.
