Man United Legend Ryan Giggs Is Favourite To Take Over At Swansea

Ryan Giggs is looking for a return to coaching after leaving Old Trafford

Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs may realise his dream of managing a top-fight club after his desire to become United’s manager was frustrated with the bringing in of Jose Mourinho in the summer. It forced him to say goodbye as asst. manager to his boyhood club where he spent decades.

He is now the favourite to take over at Swansea as coach Francesco Guidolin continues to struggle and the Welsh club shops for replacement, British newspaper SUN reports. The only hurdle on Giggs’ path appears to be the wish of Swansea’s new American backers who want former United States coach Bob Bradley as their new manager.

Giggs may be top of the list drawn up by Swansea’s supremo Huw Jenkins, but according to the newspaper, the Americans insist that Bradley (58), who is currently coach at French Second Division side Le Havre, should be a contender.

Giggs’s lack of experience as a manager is a source of worry for the Americans, who have pumped in millions into the club.

Bradley has not worked in England but has an impressive resume. He could also involve former Everton player Landon Donovan, his former player at international level, in a management team.
