Defender Laurent Koscielny smuggled in a goal in added time at Turf Moor to break Burnleys resistance and lift Arsenal to third on the table. The Gunners are now two points short of leaders, Man City who were dealt their first season blow 0-2 by razor-sharp Tottenham Hotspurs at White Hart Lane.German international Ozil had delivered a corner from the right and Theo Walcott headed the ball to the far post. Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlains poor effort at goal came off Koscielnys elbow and flew into the net.

The victory was a pleasant icing on the 20th anniversary cake of manager Arsene Wenger, who celebrated his 20 years in charge at Arsenal.
