Former Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has sealed a contract extension with Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua.
The former Inter Milan star first signed a one-season contract with the Gregorio Manzano-led side, but, with the new agreement, he will now stay at the club until the end of the 2017 season.
Martins has scored 15 goals from 30 appearances this season. This helped him to get the new improved contract.
The 32-year-old will rake in $9 million in wages (equivalent of N4.1 billion) in the new deal that he signed. It is $2.4 million more than his last contract.
