Justice Walter Onnoghen has being sworn-in by President Muhammadu Buhari as the new acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN.
He was sworn in at the council chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He replaces Mahmud Mohammed whose tenure ended yesterday after attaining the 70 years retirement age.
Onnoghen will operate in the acting capacity until the name of a substantive CJN is by the Nigerian Senate.
