Falcons Beat Hosts Cameroon 1-0 To Win Eighth African Title

Falcons of Nigeria have won their 10th African title after beating hosts, Cameroon, 1-0 in the final of the 2016 African Women’s Cup of Nations played in Yaounde.

The only goal of the match was scored by in the 85th minute. It is Nigeria’s third win against the Indomitable Lionesses in the competition.

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Nigeria’s Super Falcons on their victory. In a statement on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, Buhari described the “hard-earned” victory over the Indomitable Lionesses as “very sweet and well-deserved.”
