Serbian Tennis Queen Ana Ivanovic has announced her retirement from professional tennis. Ivanovic, who is married to Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger said she wanted to concentrate more on her Private life and other interests.
The 29-year-old said she has not been able again to take her game to the highest level. Her biggest triumph was in 2008 when she won the French Open. She also reached the final of the Australian Open in the same year.In 2005 she reached the semifinal of the French Open.
She finished the year 2016 seeded No 65 in the world. However, she had ended her season in the beginning of September due to recurrent injury.
Ivanovic said that from now on she wants to be an “ambassador of Sport and healthy living”.
