Turkish giants, Fenerbahce will offer Nigerian international striker Emmanuel Emenike to struggling Premier League club, Sunderland according to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik. The Yellow Canaries are keen on offloading Emenike over the winter transfer window.
This will enable Fenerbahce sign Jeremain Lens on a permanent deal or extend his loan deal by another season. So they want to use Emenike as a bargaining chip to present a more attractive offer to Sunderland.
The Nigerian international has been in good form for the Istanbul club, scoring seven times and providing four assists in 20 games. However, he is behind the pecking order with Robin van Persie and Moussa Sow ahead of him.
Sunderland are currently at 18th position in the league table and are in dire need of a lethal striker to shoot them out of the relegation zone.
