Five Killed, Others Wounded As Fulani Herdsmen Invade Idoma Community

At least five persons have been killed and several others wounded after gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen invaded Edumoga community in Okpokwu Council Area of Benue State.

This comes few months after Ogege community in okpale-Ingle ward in the same community was attacked by the same Fulani herdsmen.

A resident told the Daily Post that the invaders quickly disappeared after the attack Thursday morning.

The coordinator of Idoma People of Nigeria, Josephine Akioyamen has described the latest attack as unfortunate.

“How long shall this continue? We are not animals to be hunted and hacked down in our sleep by the cowardly ‘Sokugo-stricken Bororok,” she said.

There were attempts to reach the Benue State police PRO, Moses Yamu for confirmation.
