A Nigerian club owner, Mike Eze-Nwalie Nwogu, locally called Pretty Mike, has been arrested by the police in Lagos state for dehumanizing young girls by turning them into human puppies with chains round their necks as he takes them to occasions in his depraved bid to get cheap publicity.
The 30-year-old made the headlines for the wrong reasons when photos of him attending a wedding with two chained went viral.
The Lagos State Ministry of Justice confirmed the arrest in a statement by its Director, Public Affairs, Bola Akingbade. It said Nwogu was arrested on Wednesday “for dehumanising young girls by turning them into human puppies with chains around their necks”.
CHECKPOINTCHARLEY gathers that he is cooperating with the authorities in their investigation and has signed an undertaking to stop the act and apologize to the public, according to the statement.
Consequently the co-owner of Club Uno on Allen Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos has taken to his Instagram page to apologize for putting ladies on a leash during his outings, saying he meant well by his craft.
He wrote, “There has been a lot of controversy over two of my outings holding some females on a leash. I apologize to all the women and the good people of Lagos State, Nigeria and the rest of the world who feel dehumanized by this craft that meant well. I will use other platforms and format to continue to create the necessary awareness…#WomenRights #PeaceAmbassador”
