Northern Nigeria Christian Politicians (NNCP) said on Thursday that those behind Southern Kaduna killings were not herdsmen as widely believed, rather foot soldiers of President Muhammadu Buhari’s political opponents.
The chairman of NNCP, Hon. Keftin Amuga stated this at a press briefing in Abuja.
Amuga said the mastermind were bent on discrediting the Buhari-led administration ahead of 2019 general election, adding that political opponents in their desperation were seeking to jeopardize the genuine invitation by President Buhari for peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.
“The NNCP is grieved over the Southern Kaduna crisis and those in neighboring Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau and Taraba states and condemns it in its entirety.
“We, therefore, demand that the federal government arrests and prosecutes both the masterminds and the foot soldiers,” he said.
