Buhari’s Opponents Behind Southern Kaduna Killings, Not Herdsmen – NNCP

Northern Nigeria Christian Politicians (NNCP) said on Thursday that those behind Southern Kaduna killings were not herdsmen as widely believed, rather foot soldiers of President Muham­madu Buhari’s po­lit­i­cal opponents.

The chairman of NNCP, Hon. Keftin Amuga stated this at a press briefing in Abuja.

Amuga said the mastermind were bent on discrediting the Buhari-led administration ahead of 2019 general election, adding that political opponents in their desperation were seeking to jeop­ar­dize the genuine in­vi­ta­tion by President Buhari for peaceful co­-existence among Nige­ri­ans.

“The NNCP is grieved over the South­ern Kaduna cri­sis and those in neigh­bor­ing Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau and Taraba states and con­demns it in its en­tirety.

“We, there­fore, de­mand that the fed­eral gov­ern­ment ar­rests and pros­e­cutes both the mas­ter­minds and the foot sol­diers,” he said.
